Nasceu em Cambridge, Inglaterra e cresceu em Grantchester Meadows. A sua educação teve lugar na Waldorf School e foi durante muitos anos um modelo para essa escola, tendo no entanto descrito a sua educação como “horrível”. Gilmour conheceu Syd Barrett quando frequentava o Colégio de Artes e Tecnologia de Cambridge, embora não tenha pertencido á formação inicial dos Pink Floyd. O primeiro grupo de Gilmour chamava-se Joker’s Wild para quem começou a tocar em 1963. A banda mudou o seu nome para Flowers em 1967 tendo acabado nesse mesmo ano, tendo Gilmour formado os Bullitt. Juntou-se aos Pink Floyd em Janeiro do ano seguinte. Syd Barrett saiu do grupo alguns meses mais tarde tendo Gilmour assumindo o papel de guitarrista principal. Gilmour lançou o seu primeiro álbum, homônimo, na primavera de 1978. O seu segundo álbum, About Face, foi editado em 1984. Roger Waters deixou o Pink Floyd em 1985 assumindo que sem ele o Pink Floyd se desmembraria. Em vez disso, Gilmour assumiu o completo controle e criou “A Momentary Lapse of Reason”. "The dark side of the moon" and "Wish you were here "had a huge success, not only because of Roger's contribution, but also because there was a better balance between the music and the words than in more recent albums. That's what I'm trying to do in "A Momentary Lapse of Reason" more focused on the music, restore the balance. "In 2002 Gilmour made a series of acoustic solo concerts in London and Paris, along with a small band and choir, and which was documented in the edition of David Gilmour in Concert. The Androids é uma banda de rock australiana liderada pelo guitarrista Tim Henwood. A banda lançou seu primeiro single (e maior sucesso) em 2002, “Do It With Madonna”. O clipe era completamente irreverente e tinha várias drag queens fantasiadas de divas do Pop como Kylie Minogue, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Pink e claro, Madonna. O single ficou em #4 nos charts autralianos e em #15 no Reino Unido, ajudando no lançamento do album “The Androids”. Edenbridge é uma banda de metal melódico fundada em 1998 pelo guitarrista e compositor Lanvall, em Linz, na Áustria. Na vocalista Sabine Edelsbacher e no baixista Kurt Bednarsky, Lanvall encontrou os músicos certos para iniciar sua nova banda. Certa vez ao se apresentarem para uma gravadora, Lanvall definiu o estilo do Edenbridge como “Angelic Bombastic Metal”, que segundo ele define a banda muito bem até hoje, pois o som deles é bombástico e Sabine têm uma voz angelical. No começo de 2000 depois de uma rápida negociação, a banda assinou contrato com a Massacre Records e logo em setembro, foi lançado seu primeiro álbum, “Sunrise In Eden”, com uma boa repercussão e considerado um dos melhores álbums de estréia daquele ano. A imprensa especializada deu ótimas notas ao Edenbridge em suas resenhas, e as vendas cresceram consideravelmente. As suas canções poderiam ser descritas como uma mistura entre o Nightwish e o Edguy, com um toque de Dream Theater, características que poderiam ser ouvidas durante a turnê realizada em novembro de 2000 com o Axxis e o Pink Cream 69. Um ano depois o segundo álbum “Arcana” estava pronto para ser lançado, com produção de Dennis Ward (Pink Cream 69 e Angra). Os dois já tinham trabalhado juntos anteriormente no projeto Missa Mercuria, lançado pela Hellion Records. Em 2004 a banda grava na Alemanha um CD e DVD intitulado “A Livetime In Eden”, lançado um pouco antes de um novo álbum de estúdio. Também em 2004 a banda lança um novo álbum de inéditas, “Shine”. Edenbridge is a melodic metal band founded in 1998 by guitarist and composer Lanvall in Linz, Austria. Mineiro, residente em São João Nepomuceno, nasceu em Belo Horizonte quando seus pais estavam morando na capital. Voltou para São João Nepomuceno com poucos dias de vida, naturalizando-se são-joanense. Músico desde a adolescência, participou de vários festivais em parceria com compositores de sua então cidade e região, vencendo muitos deles, com destaque para duas edições do Canta Minas, promovido pela Rede Globo Minas, em 1994 com a música "Mar de Mariana" de Pedro Paulo Mendes2 , e em 1995 com a música "Fim de Todas Canções" de própria autoria3 . Em 2000, mudou-se para o Rio de Janeiro e assinou contrato com a editora Sony Music Publishing para trabalhar, inicialmente, como compositor. Em 2001, Emmerson Nogueira lançou seu primeiro CD pela gravadora Sony Music com o projeto Versão Acústica. O primeiro CD contou com releituras de artistas consagrados do Rock Internacional, como Supertramp, Pink Floyd, The Police, Eric Clapton e Joe Cocker, e atingiu a vendagem de mais de 100.000 cópias em alguns meses após o lançamento. Nascido em Salvador, Álvaro Assmar manifestou sua inclinação para a música aos 6 anos de idade, quando viu os Beatles pela primeira vez na televisão. Em paralelo, acontecia a “Jovem Guarda” trazendo Renato e seus Blue Caps como representantes dos Beatles no Brasil, além de Roberto Carlos, Erasmo Carlos e todos os demais artistas que compunham um movimento cultural de grande importância para a música brasileira. Tudo isto serviu como iniciação do aprendizado de Álvaro Assmar, que deu os primeiros passos num instrumento de brinquedo dado por uma tia (cavaquinho de Copacabana da Estrela). O primeiro violão, foi dado de presente pelo seu avô paterno aos 8 anos de idade e neste instrumento foi desenvolvida toda a técnica de solos mais apropriada para a guitarra do que o violão: era a influência predominantemente dos Beatles, Stones, Eric Clapton, Hendrix e do blues que vinha subscrito nestas tendências. Aos 17 anos ganhou sua primeira guitarra e juntamente com seu irmão (Adelmo Assmar) formou o primeiro grupo de rock para apresentações em festivais de música do Colégio Maristas (Salvador) onde passou a ter contato com o palco, platéia e tudo que é preciso para o desenvolvimento de um artista. Por um acidente de percurso, acabou enveredando para a engenharia civil, formando-se em 1984 pela UCSAL mas a partir de 1985, retomou a música de forma profissionalizada integrando o “Cabo de Guerra” , banda de rock que misturava todas as vertentes conhecidas até então, ficando no grupo até 1992. Em paralelo à isto Álvaro Assmar criava a banda “Blues Anônimo”, um power trio composto pelos ex-integrantes do grupo “Mar Revolto” Octávio Américo e Raul C. Gomes e que foi o primeiro grupo baiano de blues a ser criado. O grupo atuou até 1994, quando Álvaro Assmar resolveu assinar seu próprio trabalho. No mesmo ano grava nos Estúdios Tapwin’ o álbum de estréia intitulado de “Standards”, que é lançado em março de 1995. Em 1998 durante um concerto no Teatro ACBEU (Salvador) com o bluesman gaúcho Solon Fishbone é registrado pela televisão o que viria a se tornar no ano seguinte o seu 2º álbum intitulado de “Live”. Ainda neste mesmo ano, Álvaro Assmar resolve criar o projeto Wednesday Blues, que trouxe a Salvador entre 1999 e 2003, os nomes de maior expressão da cena blues brasileira. Neste mesmo ano Álvaro Assmar assina contrato com a Top Cat Brasil, gravadora especializada em blues, subsidiária da Top Cat Records do Texas (EUA). Em agosto de 2001, Álvaro Assmar lança “Special Moment”, onde assina todas as composições pela primeira vez e uma canção (Welcome my friend) em parceria com o amigo André Christovam, trazendo ainda como convidado especial, o seu filho caçula Eric Assmar executando um belo solo de “slide guitar” com apenas 13 anos de idade. Renaissance foi uma banda de rock progressivo do Reino Unido popular nos anos 1970. Considerada uma das melhores bandas progressivas nesse período ao lado de Yes, Pink Floyd, Genesis, Camel, Focus, Eloy e Gentle Giant. Os ex-membros da banda The Yardbirds Paul Samwell-Smith, Keith Relf e Jim McCarty organizaram um novo grupo dedicado à experimentação entre rock, música folclórica e música erudita. Juntamente com o baixista Louis Cenammo, o pianista John Hawken e a vocalista Jane (irmã de Relf) lançaram dois álbuns com a Elektra Records e Island Records, mas logo se dissolveram, deixando McCarty para reformular uma nova formação para a banda, na qual entraram e saíram vários membros. Apesar disso, logo depois McCarty também deixou o grupo. A nova formação, provavelmente a mais famosa na história da banda, consistia de Annie Haslam no vocal, Michael Dunford no violão, John Tout no piano, Jon Camp no baixo e vocal e Terry Sullivan na bateria. Renaissance was a progressive rock band from the UK popular in the 1970s. Considered one of the best progressive bands in this period alongside Yes, Pink Floyd, Genesis, Camel, Focus, Eloy and Gentle Giant. No princípio, gravavam mais álbuns conceituais, mas tornaram-se conhecidos mundialmente por suas posteriores canções ao estilo dos Beatles, como "Dreamer", "Give A Little Bit", "The Logical Song", "Breakfast in América", "Goodbye Stranger" e uma série de outros sucessos. Apesar do enorme sucesso, o grupo, por opção, nunca deixou-se levar pelo estrelato. Era afirmado durante o auge de sua popularidade que o Supertramp era a banda que mais vendia no mundo, mas os integrantes poderiam andar na rua sem serem reconhecidos. Tim Simenon (Bombardear o nome artístico Bass) (21 de junho de 1967) é um disco jockey Inglês e produtor musical. Simenon é agora um produtor usical e já trabalhou com músicos de renome, como Depeche Mode, ou rapper Seal. Fundada em 2000 em Amsterdã, onde ele vive agora, sua própria gravadora chamada "Electric Hues", e continua seu trabalho como produtor, alternando o nome do Bomb the Bass e Flow Creator. Simenon começou sua carreira musical na década de oitenta trabalhando como DJ no Clube Wag em Londres. Ele foi um pioneiro da música eletrônica de um certo tipo (um que resamples a última reposição do funk), fazendo uso extensivo de samplers.
