Lançando dois novos álbuns, When Death Comes (2009) e My Blood (2011). [Fonte: allmusic]

The Danish Artillery was one of many European bands of quality thrash metal that never seem to get a break. Formed in 1982 in Taastrup, Copenhagen suburb, by brothers Michael Stytzer (guitar) and Morten Stytzer (bass), the Artillery recorded demos which quickly become an item ordered on tape trading circuit of heavy metal. Being an impact network in the world, this important underground community was also responsible for launching the careers of any giants like Metallica and Anthrax, who might otherwise could be launched in the dark. In the case of Artillery, replace the original singer Carsten Lohmann by Flemming Ronsdorf proved to be the catalyst they needed, as the distinguished vocal of the last vocalist (alternatively blunt and sharp à la King Diamond) helped them to excel. Complete with the the guitarist Jorgen Sandau and drummer Carston Nielson, the band logged signed a contract with the British metal seal Neat, who launched the influential pair of albums "Fear of Tomorrow" in 1985 and "Terror Squad" in 1987. At that time The group traveled throughout Europe on many tours, including a long tour sponsored by the Danish government that led to the ends of the Soviet Union. Understandably, Artillery entered a storm with the Soviet children hungry for rock, but the authorities were not impressed, sending them away with a one-way ticket for the trans-Siberian railway. The Sandau guitarist left shortly after returning, and the band started looking for a new contract with anyone except the problem Neat Records, finally signing with Roadrunner, for whom they recorded the ambitious "By Inheritance" 1990 in an attempt to break the growing barriers of thrash metal. The new bassist Peter Thorslund was brought this time to Morten Stytzer could go guitar, but with the growing internal tensions of the band, Artillery ended up separating in 1991. Little was known about the band members over the next decade, but when their influential demos were gathered for release in "Deadly Relics" 1998 Ronsdorf and Stytzer brothers decided to try a comeback. Recruiting drummer Per M. Jensen (The Haunted), the Artillery returned in 1999 with the LP aptly named "BACK", which, leaving aside the studio of modern techniques was faithful to technical thrash sound of their early days. The band went on hiatus again in 2000. But in 2007 he returned to active duty. Releasing two new albums, When Death Comes (2009) and My Blood (2011). [Source: allmusic]
