Grupo de pagode originalmente formado por Alex (Alexandre Alves da Silva - voz e teclado), Betinho - percussão), Charlles André - voz, violão e cavaquinho), Ézio San - voz e surdo), Gilmar PQD - voz e pandeiro), Marcelo - voz e baixo) e Waguinho - voz) no Rio de Janeiro no início dos anos de 1990, o primeiro trabalho foi lançado pela gravadora BMG Ariola e vendeu mais de cem mil cópias. A música que deu nome ao CD, "Marrom bombom", foi o sucesso de 1995, chegando a tocar na rádio 39 vezes no mesmo dia. Ainda na BMG, o conjunto gravou, no ano seguinte, o CD "Teu charme". Em 1997, lançou "Nosso segredo", pela gravadora Universal. Desse trabalho destacam-se as músicas "Tô dentro, tô fora" e "Dança do bambolê". No ano seguinte, ainda pela Universal, gravou o CD "Tá a fim de sambar", com o qual alcançou sucesso nacional, vendendo 240 mil cópias. Neste mesmo ano, a convite de Rildo Hora, participou do disco "Casa de samba 3", no qual junto com o grupo Os Originais do Samba, interpretou a faixa "O lado direito da Rua Direita", de Luis Carlos e Chiquinho, sucesso deste grupo nos anos 70. Em 1999, o grupo fez shows em Porto Alegre, Maceió, Fortaleza, Natal e Recife, além do Paraguai, onde também faz sucesso e lançou seu quinto CD: "Pode chegar", puxado pela faixa "Cordeirinho". No ano 2000, juntamente com outros artistas, o grupo participou do CD "Os melhores do ano II", no qual interpretou "Seu melhor amigo" e, ao lado de Leci Brandão, "Auto-estima".
