Mumford & Sons é uma banda inglesa de folk rock composta pelos músicos Marcus Mumford (vocais, violão, bateria, bandolim), Ben Lovett (vocais, teclados, acordeão, bateria), Winston Marshall (vocais, banjo, violão, guitarra ressonadora), e Ted Dwane (vocais, contrabaixo acústico, bateria, violão). A banda é resultado de um movimento de folk do oeste de Londres que revelou artistas como, Laura Marling, Johnny Flynn e Noah and the Whale. O grupo gravou um EP, Love Your Ground, e começou uma turnê no Reino Unido para ganhar audiência para sua música, ganhando suporte para um eventual álbum. Mitchell Herbert Ellis foi um guitarrista de jazz norte-americano. Ellis estudou entre 1941 e 1943 na North Texas State University. Em 1943 entrou para a Casa Loma Orchestra de Glen Gray e depois ingressou na big band de Jimmy Dorsey. Tocou até 1958 com o pianista Oscar Peterson e com a cantora Ella Fitzgerald.
