Salve Jorge é uma telenovela brasileira produzida e exibida pela Rede Globo de Televisão - Brasil. Escrita por Gloria Perez e Malga Di Paula e dirigida por Fred Mayrink e Marcos Schechtman, a novela fala sobre a fé e assuntos como tráfico de pessoas, tendo como ambiente o Morro do Alemão no Rio de Janeiro e em Capadócia na Turquia onde São Jorge nasceu. A rústica região da Capadócia, berço do mito de São Jorge, foi escolhida para começar as gravações. Famosa por suas formações geológicas únicas, que lembram o território lunar, a Capadócia tem como significado terra dos belos cavalos. Foram usados mais de 350 cavalos locais nas cenas com os atores. Os tradicionais Vale do Amor, Vale da Rosa e Vale da Imaginação foram algumas das locações escolhidas. O elenco também voou de balão para as cenas que retratam o típico passeio local. Depois da Capadócia, a produção da novela dirigiu-se para cosmopolita Istambul. Como plano de fundo das cenas, alguns dos cartões postais mais famosos como a Basílica de Santa Sofia, a Mesquita Azul e o Palácio Topkapi. O núcleo gravou cerca de 600 cenas na viagem, que durou 40 dias em três localidades diferentes. ENREDO: Morena é uma mãe solteira que vive com seu filho Júnior (Luiz Felipe Mello), de quatro anos de idade e sua mãe Lucimar (Dira Paes) em um Complexo pacificado do Alemão no Rio de Janeiro, após a ocupação em 2010 pelo Exército Brasileiro liderado pelo capitão Theo (Rodrigo Lombardi). A sorte de Morena muda quando ela conhece Theo. O encontro começou com uma implicância, que se torna um verdadeiro amor, fazendo com Theo acabe seu relacionamento com a veterinária do Exército Erica (Flávia Alessandra). Entretanto, a felicidade do casal é abalada quando Morena recebe uma oferta tentadora de Lívia Marino (Cláudia Raia), uma mulher bonita e elegante, na realidade, uma líder de gangue de tráfico humano, que vai envolver Morena em uma armadilha perigosa.
