Cryptopsy é uma banda de Death Metal do Canadá que teve inicio em 1992. Em 1993, com a demo “Ungentle Exhumation” invadiram a cena extrema de Montreal assinando em seguida com o selo alemão “Invasion Records” em 1994, conseguindo desta forma o reconhecimento no cenário extremo europeu. Após o primeiro album “Blasphemy Made Flesh”(1994), assinaram com o selo sueco “Wrong Again Records” em 1996 quando produziram o EP “None So Vile” com 8 músicas. Nesse ínterim, o vocalista Lord Worm saiu da banda, substituído pelo ex-Infestation Mike Disalvo. Cryptopsy continuou sua jornada com seu terceiro álbum, “Whisper Supremacy” de 1998, já pela Century Media, bem como “And Then You’ll Beg” editado em 2000, None So Live em 2003, Once Was Not em 2005 e The Unspoken King em 2008, este último já com um novo vocalista (Matt McGachy) e novo guitarrista (Christian Donaldson), que veio dar à banda uma sonoridade diferente.
