As histórias são muitas. Ativo participante dos Festivais Acreanos de Música Popular, Taboada enveredou pelos caminhos dos jovens idealistas que lutavam contra a ditadura e integrando o PC do B tornou-se sindicalista e posteriormente por duas legislaturas deputado estadual. Para surpresa de muitos em 1998, ainda parlamentar, lançou seu primeiro CD, Rebelião, com algumas faixas como Aquiry, Anjo Bom e Pronunciamento com boa execução nas rádios do Acre. Depois largou tudo. Parlamento, partido, e se mudou para São Paulo, onde lançou o seu segundo CD, Araruta – Não à bundalização!, que o vem tornando bastante conhecido em algumas cidades daquele estado. Seu manifesto chegou em todo o país via Internet e centenas de professores vêm utilizando esta “música” e sua versão eletrônica do Hino Nacional em salas de aula. Para chegar ao nível atual do seu trabalho, Sérgio Taboada fez coisas incríveis. Começou vendendo CDs na beira da praia em cidades como Ilha Comprida e Praia Grande, fez trabalhos em praças de Sorocaba, Jundiaí, São Paulo, caminhou milhares de quilômetros com seu fiel amigo Alderian. Uma vez foram a pé da cidade de Votorantin até Sorocaba. Visitou escolas com palestras musicais, falando de MPB e televisão. Foi a festas de aniversários, fez shows acústicos em universidades como a UNISO e a UNICSUL. Visitou a PUC e a USP, onde os estudantes encheram os pavilhões com cartazes anti-bundalização. The stories are many. Da distante Estônia (no norte Europeu) Vanilla Ninja nasceu em 2002 e lançou em 2003 o seu primeiro álbum Vanilla Ninja, com canções em inglês e em estónio. Apesar de serem Estonianas, as Vanilla Ninja foram selecionadas pela Suíça para representarem o país no concurso Eurovision de 2005, em Kiev, conquistando o oitavo lugar na competição. A banda conta em sua formação originla com Lenna Kuurmaa (guitarra), Piret Järvis (guitarra) e Katrin Siska (teclados). O vocal é dividido entre as guitarristas, enquanto a bateria conta sempre com um músico convidado. “Nós escolhemos o nome Vanilla Ninja para batizar a banda porque achamos ele muito sonoro, se encaixa bem com nosso estilo. Vanilla [‘baunilha’, em inglês] simboliza nossos cabelos claros e Ninja a nossa música e nossas personalidades fortes”,conta a guitarrista Lenna Kuurmaa. A primeira mudança profunda na banda aconteceu em 2004, quando Maarja Kivi (baixista/vocalista) deixou o conjunto. Maarja é a loira de cabelos curtos que aparece nas primeiras fotos, era ela quem compunha e cantava as músicas da banda. “A Maarja saiu porque ficou grávida. A substituta para Maarja entrou em julho de 2004. Trata-se da Triinu Kivilaan, que deixou o grupo no final de 2005, após o lançamento do Best Of. Sua intenção é continuar em carreia solo, assim como Maarja que já lançou dois singles muito bem sucedidos. Em 2008, a banda foi convidada para representar o seu país no concurso chileno “Viña del Mar”. festival no qual conquistaram o prêmio de melhor performance com a música “Birds of Peace”. The distant Estonia (northern European) Vanilla Ninja was born in 2002 and launched in 2003 his first album Vanilla Ninja, with songs in English and Estonian. Although they are Estonian, the Vanilla Ninja have been selected by Switzerland to represent the country in the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest in Kiev, earning the eighth place in the competition. The band has in its originla training with Lenna Kuurmaa (guitar), Piret Järvis (guitar) and Katrin Siska (keyboards). The vocals are split between guitarists, while the battery always has a guest musician. "We chose the Vanilla Ninja name to christen the band because we think it very sound, fits well with our style. The first profound change in the band happened in 2004 when Maarja Kivi (bass / vocals) left the set.
