Luíz Guilherme Sala, o Dj Feio, começou como dj tocando em festas de amigos. Tocando as variantes do trance, em especial o “Psychedelic Trance” (o antigo Goa Trance), Feio começou bem, adquirindo fama de bom animador das pistas. A partir de 97, algumas casas noturnas começaram a convidá-lo para se apresentar nas pick-up’s como os clubes Floresta, Venice, Waka Loca, Sta. Cruz, Bar do Meio, etc., nesse mesmo ano começou a organizar suas próprias festas, as conceituadas Rave XXXperience juntamente com o Dj Rica,e assumiu o caráter profissional de ser o dj e motor ritmico das festas onde toca. A partir de então iniciaram os convites, como da revista It’s Cool, das empresas de surf Hang Loose, Austrália Down South e Da Hui entre outras, e no mesmo período foi convidado a participar na Alemanha da mais importante festa popular da música eletrônica, a Love Parade. Esse é o maior evento da cultura eletrônica no mundo que atrai anualmente em julho, no auge do verão europeu, para Berlim (Alemanha) público superior a 1,5 milhão de pessoas vindas dos quatro cantos do globo. Luiz Guilherme Sala, DJ Ugly, started playing as a DJ at parties of friends.
