Aos 16 anos de idade postou vídeos seus na internet cantando e dançando, e foi descoberta por DJs da equipe de som Furacão 2000. Sua primeira música de trabalho, “Eu vou ficar” (Batutinha), ficou entre as mais pedidas das rádios FMs, que tocam funk, no Rio de Janeiro, em 2010. Em 2012 gravou em Las Vegas o clipe de “Meiga e Abusada'”, dirigido pelo americano Blake Farber, que também trabalhou com artistas internacionais como Beyoncé. Em 2013 lançou na internet o hit “Show Das Poderosas”, quinta música gravada em toda sua carreira, cujo clipe estreou no programa “Fantástico”, da Rede Globo e teve um milhão de acessos na internet na primeira semana. Nesse mesmo ano lançou, pelo selo Warner Music, seu primeiro CD “Anitta”, produzido por Umberto Tavares e Mãozinha. O disco contou com músicas inéditas como “Príncipe de vento”, “Não para”, “Cachorro eu tenho em casa” e músicas já veiculadas na internet como “Show das poderosas”, “Meiga e abusada” e “Menina má”. Há menos de duas semanas após o lançamento, o disco tornou-se o mais vendido do país. A música “Meiga e abusada”, entrou para a trilha sonora da novela “Insensato Coração”, da Rede Globo. A música “Show das poderosas”, de sua autoria, conquistou os prêmios de “Música-Chiclete” e “Melhor Clipe”, nas respectivas categorias “Voto Popular” e “Júri Especializado”, no “Prêmio Multishow” de 2013.
