Filho de Promotor de Justiça e professora de português. Nasceu no em Belo Jardim, cidade do interior de Pernambuco. Pouco depois a família transferiu-se para Recife, onde passou a infância. Descendente de holandeses e índios. Entre 1989 e 1991 residiu na França, apresentando-se como músico nas ruas e metrôs de Paris. De volta ao Brasil, foi morar no Rio de Janeiro, onde trabalhou em gafieiras, apresentando-se ao lado de Jovelina Pérola Negra. Mais tarde, transferiu-se para São Paulo. Surgiu como percussionista na primeira formação do grupo Nação Zumbi. Logo depois, integrou o grupo pernambucano Mundo Livre S/A, com o qual gravou os discos "Samba esquema noise" e "Guentando a ôia". Em 1998, lançou-se em carreira solo com CD "Samba pra burro", no qual combinou maracatu com drum 'n' bass e repente com rap. Deste trabalho participaram Bebel Gilberto, Erasto Vasconcelos (Irmão de Naná Vasconcelos) e Fred 04 (do grupo Mundo Livre S/A). O disco recebeu o prêmio da Associação Paulista de Críticos de Arte como o melhor daquele ano. No ano seguinte, em 1999, participou ao lado de Tom Zé do "Heinken Concerts", em São Paulo e ainda participou do disco "Baião de viramundo" (sobre a obra de Luiz Gonzaga), no qual interpretou as faixas "Orélia" e "Garçom". Neste mesmo ano, participou de outro CD, "Reginaldo Rossi - um tributo", este, sobre a obra de Reginaldo Rossi. Seu disco seguinte, "Changez tout - samba pra burro dissecado", lançado em 2000, trouxe novas composições. Suas músicas foram remixadas por Edgard Scandurra, do grupo Ira!, e pelo DJ Marky. Em 2003 participou da "10ª edição do Festival Humaitá Pra Peixe" (Piracema - o movimento dos peixes contra a maré na época da desova), apresentado no Espaço Cultural Sérgio Porto, ao lado de B Negão, Sabotage e os paulistas do grupo Instituto, entre outros. Neste mesmo ano lançou o CD "Sem gravidade", disco no qual contou com a participação especial da namorada, a atriz Alessandra Negrini e ainda de Rita Lee na faixa "Tento entender" e Bnegão na faixa "Amarelô". No ano de 2004, divulgando o CD "Sem gravidade", fez turnê por Portugal, Inglaterra, Dinamarca, Espanha e França, sendo elogiado pela crítica e público locais e mencionado nas principais publicações musicais, entre elas, "The Observer" e "Straight no Chaser". Em 2012 o cantor e compositor foi uma das principais atrações no "Festival Pro Rock", de Recife. Nesta edição do evento, a 20ª, também se apresentaram os grupos Antibalas Afrobeat Orchestra, Nada Surf (ambos dos Estados Unidos); Los Hermanos (Rio de Janeiro), Buraka Som Sistema (de Portugal); Mundo Livre S/A (Pernambuco); Ratos de Porão (São Paulo), Brujeria (México), Strobo (Pará), além de bandas novas do cenário recifense, tais como Ska Maria Pastore e Tibério Azul. Back in Brazil, he moved to Rio de Janeiro, where he worked in dance halls, performing alongside the Black Pearl Jovelina. Later, he moved to São Paulo. Emerged as a percussionist in the first training group Zombie Nation. Soon after, he joined the group Free World Pernambuco S / A, with which he recorded the "noise Samba schema" discs and "Guentando OIA." In 1998, he threw himself on solo CD "Samba as hell", which combined with Maracatu drum 'n' bass and suddenly with rap.
