Nasceu em Cambridge, Inglaterra e cresceu em Grantchester Meadows. A sua educação teve lugar na Waldorf School e foi durante muitos anos um modelo para essa escola, tendo no entanto descrito a sua educação como “horrível”. Gilmour conheceu Syd Barrett quando frequentava o Colégio de Artes e Tecnologia de Cambridge, embora não tenha pertencido á formação inicial dos Pink Floyd. O primeiro grupo de Gilmour chamava-se Joker’s Wild para quem começou a tocar em 1963. A banda mudou o seu nome para Flowers em 1967 tendo acabado nesse mesmo ano, tendo Gilmour formado os Bullitt. Juntou-se aos Pink Floyd em Janeiro do ano seguinte. Syd Barrett saiu do grupo alguns meses mais tarde tendo Gilmour assumindo o papel de guitarrista principal. Gilmour lançou o seu primeiro álbum, homônimo, na primavera de 1978. O seu segundo álbum, About Face, foi editado em 1984. Roger Waters deixou o Pink Floyd em 1985 assumindo que sem ele o Pink Floyd se desmembraria. Em vez disso, Gilmour assumiu o completo controle e criou “A Momentary Lapse of Reason”. Gilmour explica: “Eu tinha um sem número de problemas com a direcção da banda no passado recente, antes de Roger sair. No princípio, gravavam mais álbuns conceituais, mas tornaram-se conhecidos mundialmente por suas posteriores canções ao estilo dos Beatles, como "Dreamer", "Give A Little Bit", "The Logical Song", "Breakfast in América", "Goodbye Stranger" e uma série de outros sucessos. Apesar do enorme sucesso, o grupo, por opção, nunca deixou-se levar pelo estrelato. Era afirmado durante o auge de sua popularidade que o Supertramp era a banda que mais vendia no mundo, mas os integrantes poderiam andar na rua sem serem reconhecidos. E realmente, a banda era um sucesso tão estrondoso quanto os Rolling Stones, a diferença era que os cinco integrantes optavam por uma espécie de anonimato, sem grandes explorações comerciais da imagem individual. Em 1972, a cantora Eliana Pittman lançou a composição "Beira-mar" com a qual fez algum sucesso. Em 25 anos de carreira compôs mais de 250 músicas e letras, lançando 12 discos, além de quatro trilhas sonoras de filmes. Apareceu para o grande público nos anos 1970, quando sua composição "Pavão misterioso" foi incluída como tema de abertura da novela "Saramandaia", de Dias Gomes, pela TV Globo. Em 1973, gravou com Rodger, Teti e o arranjador Hareton Salvanini o LP "Meu corpo, minha embalagem, todo gasto na viagem", pela Continental. Em 1975, participou do Festival Abertura com a música "Vaila", em parceria com Brandão. Fez a música e o clip de encerramento da novela "Tocaia grande", de Walter Avancini, pela TV Manchete, nos anos 1990. No cinema, fez trilhas para os filmes "Luiza homem", de Fábio Barreto, em que também atua no papel de um poeta de cordel, e para os filmes "Tigipió" e "Calor da pele", ambos de Pedro Jorge. Dirigiu, musicou e fez o roteiro de "Cauim", apresentado em todos os shows de sua turnê de 1978/79. Participou, também, dos especiais de TV "Ednardo - Ceará Quatro Estações", escolhido como melhor vídeo artístico musical pela Secretaria de Cultura do Estado do Ceará, e "Ednardo especial", apresentados pela TV E e pela TV Manchete. Entre os grandes sucessos de Ednardo estão"Terral", "Pavão misterioso", "Artigo 26", "A manga rosa", "Beir-mar", "Carneiro", "Enquanto engomo a calça" e "Rubi". Roberto Carlos Braga (Cachoeiro de Itapemirim, Brasil - 19 de abril de 1941) é um cantor e compositor brasileiro. Um dos primeiros ídolos jovens da cultura brasileira, ele foi um dos pioneiros no Brasil do movimento rock'n'roll surgido nos Estados Unidos ao longo da década de 1950, mais precisamente em 1959. Embora tivesse iniciado a carreira sob influência da Bossa Nova, no início da década de 1960, Roberto mudou seu repertório para o rock. Com composições próprias, geralmente feitas em parceria com o amigo Erasmo Carlos, e versões de sucessos do então recente gênero musical, fundando as bases para o primeiro movimento de rock feito no Brasil. Com a fama, estrelou ao lado de Erasmo Carlos e Wanderléa um programa na TV Record chamado Jovem Guarda, que daria nome ao primeiro movimento musical do rock brasileiro. Além da carreira musical, estrelou filmes inspirados na fórmula lançada pelos Beatles - como "Roberto Carlos em Ritmo de Aventura", "Roberto Carlos e o Diamante Cor-de-rosa" e "Roberto Carlos a 300km por Hora". Na virada para década de 1970, reformulou seu repertório rock'n roll e se tornou um cantor e compositor basicamente romântico, que não modificou desde então. Apesar disso, o disco é provavelmente o auge técnico dos integrantes e possui muito boa avaliação entre os fãs. Com o próximo disco – The Wall – que muitos concordam ser o ponto alto de Waters como compositor, a banda novamente alcança o topo das paradas da Billboard, vendendo mais de 11 milhões de cópias, o que o torna o disco duplo mais vendido de todos os tempos. Complexo e bastante autobiográfico, o disco tem como ponto chave o processo de isolamento causado por traumas sofridos ao longo da vida. Um deles, a morte do pai na 2ª Guerra Mundial, é mais bem trabalhado no último disco sob a liderança do baixista: Final Cut, que também contém críticas à política bélica britânica, comandada na época por Margaret Thatcher. Waters, que alegava sérias divergências com os demais membros da banda, declarou o fim em 1985. Pink Floyd are an English band formed in Cambridge in 1965, initially recognized by the psychedelic and experimental style during its initial phase and later by his concept albums, philosophical lyrics and extremely elaborate concerts, with very unique combinations of sound and image every stage. Nascido em Salvador, Álvaro Assmar manifestou sua inclinação para a música aos 6 anos de idade, quando viu os Beatles pela primeira vez na televisão. Em paralelo, acontecia a “Jovem Guarda” trazendo Renato e seus Blue Caps como representantes dos Beatles no Brasil, além de Roberto Carlos, Erasmo Carlos e todos os demais artistas que compunham um movimento cultural de grande importância para a música brasileira. Tudo isto serviu como iniciação do aprendizado de Álvaro Assmar, que deu os primeiros passos num instrumento de brinquedo dado por uma tia (cavaquinho de Copacabana da Estrela). O primeiro violão, foi dado de presente pelo seu avô paterno aos 8 anos de idade e neste instrumento foi desenvolvida toda a técnica de solos mais apropriada para a guitarra do que o violão: era a influência predominantemente dos Beatles, Stones, Eric Clapton, Hendrix e do blues que vinha subscrito nestas tendências. A partir de Hendrix, Álvaro Assmar sentiu a necessidade de explorar outros territórios desconhecidos por ele até então: Cream, Allman Brothers, Mountain, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Pink Floyd, Yes, John Mayall, Buddy Guy e muitos outros grandes músicos que traziam o blues como matéria prima de sua arte. Aos 17 anos ganhou sua primeira guitarra e juntamente com seu irmão (Adelmo Assmar) formou o primeiro grupo de rock para apresentações em festivais de música do Colégio Maristas (Salvador) onde passou a ter contato com o palco, platéia e tudo que é preciso para o desenvolvimento de um artista. Por um acidente de percurso, acabou enveredando para a engenharia civil, formando-se em 1984 pela UCSAL mas a partir de 1985, retomou a música de forma profissionalizada integrando o “Cabo de Guerra” , banda de rock que misturava todas as vertentes conhecidas até então, ficando no grupo até 1992. Em paralelo à isto Álvaro Assmar criava a banda “Blues Anônimo”, um power trio composto pelos ex-integrantes do grupo “Mar Revolto” Octávio Américo e Raul C. Gomes e que foi o primeiro grupo baiano de blues a ser criado. O grupo atuou até 1994, quando Álvaro Assmar resolveu assinar seu próprio trabalho. No mesmo ano grava nos Estúdios Tapwin’ o álbum de estréia intitulado de “Standards”, que é lançado em março de 1995. Em 1998 durante um concerto no Teatro ACBEU (Salvador) com o bluesman gaúcho Solon Fishbone é registrado pela televisão o que viria a se tornar no ano seguinte o seu 2º álbum intitulado de “Live”. Ainda neste mesmo ano, Álvaro Assmar resolve criar o projeto Wednesday Blues, que trouxe a Salvador entre 1999 e 2003, os nomes de maior expressão da cena blues brasileira. Neste mesmo ano Álvaro Assmar assina contrato com a Top Cat Brasil, gravadora especializada em blues, subsidiária da Top Cat Records do Texas (EUA). Em agosto de 2001, Álvaro Assmar lança “Special Moment”, onde assina todas as composições pela primeira vez e uma canção (Welcome my friend) em parceria com o amigo André Christovam, trazendo ainda como convidado especial, o seu filho caçula Eric Assmar executando um belo solo de “slide guitar” com apenas 13 anos de idade. Tim Simenon (Bombardear o nome artístico Bass) (21 de junho de 1967) é um disco jockey Inglês e produtor musical. Simenon é agora um produtor usical e já trabalhou com músicos de renome, como Depeche Mode, ou rapper Seal. Fundada em 2000 em Amsterdã, onde ele vive agora, sua própria gravadora chamada "Electric Hues", e continua seu trabalho como produtor, alternando o nome do Bomb the Bass e Flow Creator.
