Nascida em Juiz de Fora, a cantora, compositora, arranjadora, violonista e percussionista Ana Carolina começou cantando nos bares de sua cidade e teve seus primeiros espetáculos produzidos pela atriz e cantora Zezé Motta. Sua voz de timbre grave chamou a atenção de Luciana de Moraes, filha de Vinicius, que resolveu apostar em sua carreira. Assim, em 1999, Ana lançou seu primeiro álbum, "Ana Carolina", que teve como destaques a música "Garganta" (feita para ela pelo compositor Totonho Villeroy) e as recriações muito pessoais (entre o tango e o blues) de "Retrato em Branco e Preto" (Tom Jobim e Chico Buarque) e "Alguém Me Disse" (de Evaldo Gouvêia e Jair Amorim). Em 2003, Ana Carolina lança seu terceiro CD, "Estampado". Com esse trabalho a cantora obtém reconhecimento da crítica e aprovação do público. No mesmo ano é lançado o DVD “Estampado”, um misto de filme-documento e musical.Além do show no Largo da Carioca, o DVD também apresenta performances de voz e violão da artista. Em 1969, formou, juntamente com outros jovens músicos cearenses, um grupo chamado "Pessoal do Ceará". Viajou para o sul do país. Em 1972, a cantora Eliana Pittman lançou a composição "Beira-mar" com a qual fez algum sucesso. Em 25 anos de carreira compôs mais de 250 músicas e letras, lançando 12 discos, além de quatro trilhas sonoras de filmes. Apareceu para o grande público nos anos 1970, quando sua composição "Pavão misterioso" foi incluída como tema de abertura da novela "Saramandaia", de Dias Gomes, pela TV Globo. Em 1973, gravou com Rodger, Teti e o arranjador Hareton Salvanini o LP "Meu corpo, minha embalagem, todo gasto na viagem", pela Continental. Em 1975, participou do Festival Abertura com a música "Vaila", em parceria com Brandão. Fez a música e o clip de encerramento da novela "Tocaia grande", de Walter Avancini, pela TV Manchete, nos anos 1990. No cinema, fez trilhas para os filmes "Luiza homem", de Fábio Barreto, em que também atua no papel de um poeta de cordel, e para os filmes "Tigipió" e "Calor da pele", ambos de Pedro Jorge. Dirigiu, musicou e fez o roteiro de "Cauim", apresentado em todos os shows de sua turnê de 1978/79. Participou, também, dos especiais de TV "Ednardo - Ceará Quatro Estações", escolhido como melhor vídeo artístico musical pela Secretaria de Cultura do Estado do Ceará, e "Ednardo especial", apresentados pela TV E e pela TV Manchete. Entre os grandes sucessos de Ednardo estão"Terral", "Pavão misterioso", "Artigo 26", "A manga rosa", "Beir-mar", "Carneiro", "Enquanto engomo a calça" e "Rubi". Em 2002, gravou com Belchior e Amelinha o CD "Pessoal do Ceará", produzido por Robertinho do Recife, no qual constaram antigas composições suas como "Artigo 26" e "Pavão misterioso", além da inédita "Mote, Tom e Radar".
