Nascido em Brotas, interior de São Paulo, o cantor desde cedo já possuía o dom da música. Com apenas cinco anos cantava e arranhava os primeiros acordes no violão do pai, até ganhar seu próprio instrumento aos oito anos de idade. Sempre incentivado por familiares e amigos, Daniel regularmente participava de festivais de música da região. Num desses eventos conheceu José Henrique dos Reis, o João Paulo, com quem formaria em 1980 uma dupla emblemática da música romântica: João Paulo & Daniel. Com o primeiro álbum lançado em 1985, o duo começaria uma promissora carreira, interrompida pela súbita morte de João Paulo, nos anos de 1990. No ano de 1998, mesmo abalado com a morte do parceiro e amigo, Daniel lança seu primeiro disco solo. Em 1999, Daniel lança "Vou Levando a Vida", sendo bem acolhido pelo público. A popularidade do cantor só crescia. Daniel chegou até a atuar no cinema, ao lado de Xuxa Meneghel. O ano seguinte seria marcado pelo lançamento do primeiro disco da série "Meu Reino Encantado", projeto que traz interpretações de clássicos da música sertaneja de raiz. “Meu Reino Encantado 2”, lançado em 2003, é uma homenagem à dupla Tião Carreiro & Pardinho, considerados um dos clássicos da música popular de viola. O destaque do álbum fica para as participações especiais das Irmãs Galvão e Milionário & José Rico, Cezar & Paulinho e Rick & Renner e Rolando Boldrin. No terceiro volume da série, “Meu Reino Encantado 3”, que chegou às lojas em 2005, Daniel contou com outro time de convidados de peso. Entre eles, Bruno & Marrone, Ataíde & Alexandre, Lourenço & Lourival, Moacyr Franco, Perla e Raul Gil. Ainda no ano passado, o cantor lançou seu último CD, gravado ao vivo em Botucatu, interior de São Paulo. “Te Amo Cada Vez Mais”, que também sai em versão DVD, traz os principais sucessos da carreira de Daniel, acompanhados por um coro de mais de 60 mil pessoas. Born in Brotas, São Paulo, the singer from an early age already had the gift of music. The following year was marked by the launch of the first album of the series "My Magic Kingdom", a project that brings classic interpretations of country music from scratch. "My Faerie 2," released in 2003, is a tribute to the double Tiao Carreiro & Pardinho, considered one of the classics of popular viola music. The highlight of the album is to the appearances of the Sisters Galvão and Millionaire & José Rico, Cezar & Paulinho and Rick & Renner and Rolando Boldrin. In the third volume of the series, "My Faerie 3," which hit stores in 2005, Daniel had another team weight of guests.
