Wanderley Taffo Júnior, mais conhecido como Wander Taffo foi um guitarrista brasileiro e diretor geral da EM&T (Escola de Música e Tecnologia). Ele tocou com Rita Lee e nas bandas Memphis, Made in Brazil, Secos & Molhados, Gang 90 e as Absurdettes, Joelho de Porco, Rádio Táxi e Banda Taffo. Com carreira iniciada com a banda Memphis em 1973, Wander fundou a banda Rádio Táxi, que fez muito sucesso com a música “Eva” em 1983. No final dessa década, Wander deixou o grupo e passou a fazer carreira solo, junto com os irmãos Andria e Ivan Busic, lançando o disco Wander Taffo, produzido pelo produtor musical Liminha. Chegou a receber o prêmio Sharp de Música na categoria “Revelação Pop Rock Masculino” por um solo gravado em Los Angeles, em 1989. No ano seguinte, foi eleito melhor guitarrista do Brasil pela crítica especializada. Com Marcelo Souss nos teclados, formou-se a Banda Taffo, que teve sucesso com seu disco Rosa Branca. Wander participou ainda de diversos discos: Marina Lima, de 1991, Cássia Eller, de 1994, Clássicos, de Guilherme Arantes, de 1994, entre outros. Em 1996, lançou seu terceiro disco solo, Lola, que teve a música “Sempre Junto de Você” na trilha sonora da novela O Amor Está no Ar, da Rede Globo. Em julho de 1997, Taffo abriu o IG&T (Instituto de Guitarra e Tecnologia). Assim, paralisou seus projetos musicais, dedicando-se exclusivamente ao projeto. A escola, hoje conhecida como Escola de Música & Tecnologia (EM&T), une alta tecnologia a um centro de conveniência nos moldes do GIT de Los Angeles (Estados Unidos), algo inédito na América Latina, de onde é considerada a melhor escola musical. Em apenas um ano de funcionamento, o IG&T atingiu mil matrículas. Já os irmãos Busic hoje estão no Dr. Sin. Em 2006, Wander voltou com a sua ex-banda Rádio Táxi, que lançou um DVD marcando a volta da banda. Ele planejava ainda a volta da banda Taffo para julho de 2008, mas esse projeto foi interrompido por sua morte. Wander Taffo faleceu na manhã de 14 de maio de 2008 em decorrência de parada cardiorrespiratória. Taffo não tinha histórico de problemas de saúde, segundo sua assessoria de imprensa. His career started with the band in Memphis in 1973, founded the band Wander Radio Taxi, which was a big hit with the song "Eve" in 1983 At the end of that decade, Wander left the group and became solo career, along with brothers Andria and Ivan Busic, releasing Wander Taffo disc, produced by music producer Liminha. Even received the Sharp Music Award in the category "Pop Rock Male Revelation" by a solo recorded in Los Angeles in 1989 The following year, he was voted best guitarist in Brazil by critics. Marcelo Souss on keyboards, formed the Taffo Band, which has had success with its White Rose disc. Wander also participated several disks: Marina Lima, 1991, Cassia Eller, 1994 Classics, Guilherme Arantes, 1994, among others. In 1996 he released his third solo, Lola, an album that had the song "Always Beside You" on the soundtrack of the soap opera Love is in the Air, Rede Globo. In July 1997, Taffo opened the IG & T (Guitar Institute of Technology). Thus, paralyzed his musical projects, devoting himself exclusively to the project. The school, now known as the School of Music & Technology (MS & T), combines high-tech to a convenience center in the mold of GIT in Los Angeles (United States), something unheard of in Latin America, where it is considered the best music school. In just one year of operation, the IG & T reached thousand enrollments. Already Busic brothers are now in Dr. Sin. In 2006, Wander back with his ex-band Radio Taxi, who released a DVD marking the return of the band. He still planned around the Taffo band for July 2008, but that project was interrupted by his death. Wander Taffo died on the morning of May 14, 2008 due to cardiac arrest.
