O Rappa é uma banda brasileira conhecida por suas letras de forte impacto social e por seus shows sempre animados. Seu ritmo não é exatamente definido nem mesmo pela própria banda. Embora seja de início principalmente reggae e rock, a banda também incorporou elementos de samba, hip-hop, rap, sampler e mpb, mostrando assim o estilo alternativo da banda. Um de seus maiores sucessos, a música “Pescador De Ilusões”, do ex-baterista Marcelo Yuka, tornou-se sucesso no CD em que foi lançada primeiramente, Rappa Mundi, e novamente no Acústico MTV de 2006, com o refrão “Valeu a pena, valeu a pena”. O mesmo feito de popularidade veio com a música “Me Deixa”, também de Marcelo Yuka. Em 2006 foi lançado o Acústico MTV, no qual a banda resgata alguns sucessos e outras músicas nem tão famosas, do primeiro ao último disco lançado na época, e introduz duas músicas inéditas: uma feita especialmente para o Acústico - “Na Frente do Reto” - e outra que entraria em O Silêncio Que Precede O Esporro - “Não Perca As Crianças De Vista” - mas ficou de fora da lista de músicas.
