[Fonte: wikipedia]
When the band released their debut album in 1994, Greater Art, there was no indication the true potential of the band. If their first release came covered critical not very promising, their second album, released a year later, titled Headstones was very well received by critics, putting the band to a new level. But it was with the next release, A Crimson Cosmos (1997), that the band really began to be noticed in the scene. The album received excellent reviews, and her bandage was much higher than that of previous albums. This fact caught the attention of members of Therion band, who invited them to be the opening act for their upcoming tour. This tour helped the Lake of Tears to become known outside his native country, Sweden. In 1999 is released Forever Autumn. At this time the band has had a well-defined training relying Brennare Daniel (guitarist, vocalist and band leader), with bassist Mikael Larsson and drummer Johan Oudhuis. The album featured the strengthening of various guest guitarists (actually that would be repeated in the next few releases). However, Forever Autumn has not achieved the success of its predecessor, and his label, Black Mark decided not to renew the contract. In the summer of 2003 during a music session, yet frontman Daniel Brennare, and his two companions Mikael Larsson (bass) and Johan Oudhuis (drums) decided to continue with the band. The Lake of Tears inked a new record deal with Noise Records, thinking that this stamp would be ideal at the moment, offering all the necessary support for the new album to be promoted properly. With the support of the new record and nine great tracks, the band reunited in the studio Mega, Sweden, where bands like The Crown, Bessech and Soundtrack Of Our Lives had recorded recently, and obtained excellent results. Listening to the new album for the first time, the listener realizes immediately that the Lake of Tears got an excellent return to the acclaimed Black Brick Road. [Source: wikipedia]
