Jeronimo foi fundada em 1969 e em 69/70 eles tiveram seus dois primeiros hits "Ele Ya" e "Na Na Hey Hey". Com estes dois chartbreakers, Jeronimo subiu para a posição número 1 em quase todos os países europeus. Em 1970 Jerônimo e "Steppenwolf" excursionaram com sucesso pela Alemanha e no mesmo ano Jeronimo participou do lendário "Progressive Pop Festival", em Colonia. Depois disso, Jeronimo compartilhou as manchetes com grupos como o "Deep Purple" e "Golden Earrings" em vários festivais europeus ao ar livre. Em 1970, Jeronimo, juntamente com Creedence Clearwater Revival, apresentou o álbum "Spirit Orgaszmus", que foi um sucesso em toda a Europa. Depois de 30 anos e milhões de discos vendidos em todo o mundo, Jeronimo ainda é cult. Em 1999/2000, seus sucessos "Na Na Hey Hey" e "Ele Ya" foram relançados em inúmeras compilações.
