Janis Lyn Joplin foi uma cantora e compositora norte-americana de blues, influenciada pelo rock e pelo soul com uma voz marcante. Joplin lançou quatro álbuns, desde 1967 até o lançamento póstumo do álbum “Pearl”, em 1971. Janis nasceu na cidade de Port Arthur, Texas, nos Estados Unidos. The result was the album Pearl (1971), released after his death, and that was to highlight the "Me and Bobby McGee" songs (Kris Kristofferson), and "Mercedes-Benz", written by the poet Michael McClure beatnik. Joplin died of a heroin overdose on October 4, 1970, in Los Angeles, California, with only 27 years. It was cremated at the memorial cemetery-park of Westwood Village in the town of Westwood, California, and her ashes were scattered on the Pacific Ocean in a ceremony.
