[Fonte: wikipedia]
In late 1985 , in São Paulo , Nelson Brito ( bass) and Paul Zinner (drums ) played in Fickle Pickle - where subsequently entered - and exited quickly - vocalist Catalau . This project did not last long , and the trio reunited only when they met guitarist Hélcio Aguirra , part of Harppia . With the rapport between the musicians , Hélcio will dedicate only to the Coup , whose songs were predominantly hard rock , but with a lot of blues influence and something heavy metal , and are sung in Portuguese . In less than a year has already touched the theaters and bars in your city , and all public reception quickly culminated in a first record by Luiz Calanca , the Cheap Allies . Simply dubbed the Coup , the disc hit the market in 1986 with some difference in its conception , it was with a vinyl one side rotating 33 rpm and the other at 45 . With the confusion in touch vinyl , many of São Paulo's radio listeners just listening to " Eyes of War " at the wrong speed . Unable to sign with a major label , run to the second disk , again by Cheap Allies . Forcing bar out in 1988 and even with the participation of Arnaldo Antunes and double Melo White ( Titans ) in Where there's smoke , there's fire . Of course much more cohesive than the previous work, the songs were sounding even more rock'n'roll and even more danceable , and tracks such as Moon Dog , Part Hell Night ballad and Cobra created were very well accepted by the fans . Neither police nor Bandit arrives in 1989 by the record company Eldorado , and this disk opened for Jethro Tull and Nazareth . With the establishments where ever touched filled , the Coup was already consolidated in the São Paulo scene. The next album , evocatively called Blow Room , comes out in 1991 . Arrangements bring more influence of blues and rock and roll as above, [ citation needed ], and with this album , opening for Deep Purple , for total happiness Zinner , who claimed to have its greatest influence in this band .
