Formado por Anderson (cavaquinho e voz), Andrezinho (percussão e voz), Claumirzinho (percussão e voz), Lúcio (baixo e voz) e Jimmy (voz e percussão). O grupo foi formado no Rio de Janeiro pelo produtor musical Bira Hawai, pai de Anderson. Antes de formar o grupo, Andrezinho e Anderson faziam juntos shows folclóricos no exterior, tocavam músicas de capoeira e acrobacias com o pandeiro. Apresentaram-se em vários países, entre eles Japão, até formarem o Molejo. No grupo, todos são filhos de músicos. Considerado por Paulinho da Viola como um dos novos expoentes do samba brasileiro e da MPB, lançou o primeiro CD, "Caçamba", que fez sucesso no Brasil inteiro, com destaque para a música "Paparico". Ao segundo CD, "Molejo dois", seguiram-se os discos "Não quero saber de tititi" (1997), "Brincadeira de criança" (1998) e "Família" (1999). Todos grandes sucessos, fazendo com que o grupo tivesse considerável destaque nas rádios e na mídia. Em 2006 a gravadora Warner lançou a coletânea “Warner 30 Anos: Molejo”, que incluiu 14 faixas que fizeram parte do repertório do grupo. Participou da gravação do CD “Disney Adventures in Samba”, no qual o grupo interpretou a faixa “Eu vou” (Heigh-Ho), tema do filme “Branca de Neve e os Sete Anões”. Produzido por Alceu Maia e lançado pelo selo Walt Disney Records, o disco contou com a participação de vários artistas brasileiros interpretando temas de filmes e desenhos da Disney no ritmo do samba.
