Love and Money é uma banda pop escocês nascida em Glasgow em 1985 a partir das cinzas dos Friends Again. A formação da nova banda, liderada pelo vocalista e guitarrista James Grant, inclui, além de conceder, dois outros amigos: Paul McGeechan (teclados) e Stuart Kerr (bateria), além de Douglas MacIntyre (guitarra, vocais) e Bobby Paterson (baixo). Seu primeiro álbum All You Need is ... (1986), produzido por Tom Dowd, teve boa aclamação da crítica, mas pouco sucesso comercial. O sucesso vem com o próximo álbum estranho Kind of Love produzido por Gary Katz, (ex-produtor de Steely Dan), com o baterista Jeff Porcaro, Kerr e Timothy B. Schmit dos Eagles em backing vocals e Jocelyn Square. O disco contém Hallelujah Man, o single de maior sucesso do grupo. O tipo de música criado por este grupo é para aqueles que apreciam certos timbres vocais. A qualidade da voz do cantor pode ouvir músicas que imediatamente trazer a mente para entrar numa alta dimensão musical. Qual foi a razão pela qual o grupo teve vida curta é desconhecida. Com o tipo de voz que foi equipado, James Grant poderia ter desenvolvido outras canções de sucesso até hoje, no entanto, como aconteceu com outros meteoros importantes da música pop dos anos 80 (como Nick Kamen), também o Love and Money se foi, deixando uma memória musical muita bonita.
