Mother Tongue é uma banda de rock alternativo californiana da década de 1970, com influências que lembram funk, soul e outros estilos de música. Fundada em 1990, em Austin (Texas) e um ano depois eles se mudaram para Los Angeles, onde em mostrou o seu enérgico performances ao vivo com legião de fãs, incluindo celebridades como Ian Astbury (The Cult) ou Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails ), concedeu.
