Um dos grandes representantes da soul music brasileira (ao lado de Tim Maia e Cassiano), o cantor, violonista e compositor baiano Hyldon tocou com os Diagonais (de Cassiano), Wilson Simonal,Erasmo Carlos, Tony Tornado e Tim Maia (de quem foi parceiro) e produziu discos de Jerry Adriani, Erasmo Carlos e Odair José. Teve seu primeiro e maior sucesso em 1975, com a balada “Na Rua, na Chuva, na Fazenda”, título de seu primeiro disco, que ainda estourou “Na Sombra de uma Árvore” e “As Dores do Mundo”. Gravou “Deus, a Natureza e o Amor” em 1976, metade com o grupo Azymuth e a outra parte com o o Grupo Senzala que logo se tornaria a Banda Black Rio,Continuou gravando seus discos mas por não abrir mão da independencia artística ,batia de frente com as gravadoras passando a gravar muito espaçadamente. Hyldon voltou à luz nos anos 90 através do interesse de bandas como o Kid Abelha, que regravou “Na Chuva,na chuva ,na fazenda” e do Jota Quest, que fez o mesmo com “As Dores do Mundo”. Teve músicas incluídas em várias novelas e principalmente músicas em grandes filmes da virada do nosso cinema,Cidade de Deus e Divã(Na rua ,na chuva ,na fazenda)As dores do mundo(O homem do ano) Homem pássaro(Carandirú) Antonia(Na sombra de uma árvore)Durval Filmes(A fim de voltar c/Tim Maia).Cantores e cantoras de vários segmentos gravaram e continum gravando sua música,Jorge Aragão,Sandra de Sá,Marisa Monte,Ivete Sangalo, Lenine,Tim Maia ,Kid Abelha,MV Bill etc…[Fonte: cliquemusic]
