A banda foi formada sob a denominação SATOR, em 1998, em Skawina, uma pequena cidade perto de Cracóvia, Polônia. A primeira formação foi: Paulina Maslanka - vocais, Jaroslaw Baran - bateria e guitarra, Sebastian Wojtowicz - guitarra, Piotr Szymanski - baixo e Tomasz Polczyk - teclados. - Depois de alguns meses de trabalho a banda gravou sua primeira demo tape “…And Remember”, lançado com o rótulo underground da Eternal Blackness. Logo após o término da preparação da demo, Daniel Kaczmarczyk juntou-se a banda na bateria. Com a nova formação a banda trabalhou em novo material e após um ano de preparação, a banda foi capaz de obter 10 canções prontas. Estas canções eram para ser incluídas no primeiro trabalho com a re-denominada banda, Delight. Ao contrário da primeira demo, as novas canções foram totalmente compostas, produzidas e gravadas em um estúdio caseiro por Jaroslaw Baran. Pouco tempo depois, a banda assinou seu primeiro grande acordo, com a empresa polonesa Metal Mind Records. Foi isso que trouxe a necessária mudança de nome. Pouco antes do lançamento do álbum, o baterista Daniel Kaczmarczyk e o tecladista Tomasz Polczyk decidiram deixar a banda. No entanto, eles iriam ainda participar no processo de gravação. As substituições foram Tomasz Baran como baterista e Barbara Lasek como tecladista. Em 12 de novembro de 2000 a Metal Mind Production lançou o álbum de Delight - Last Temptation. Em 14 de maio de 2005, Delight desempenhou uma performance no Wave Gotik Treffen Festival, em Leipzig, na Alemanha. O show foi parte de um concurso, e Delight ganhou o título de Best Unsigned Gothic Act International. O evento foi organizado pela revista alemã Orkus, Roadrunner Records, Wave Gotik Treffen e Mastersound Entertainment. O júri foi presidido por Henk Hakker & Christian Klimek (Roadruner Records), Claus Müller & Kerstin Strobel (Orkus Magazine), Michael Brunner (organizator Wave Gotik Treffen), Alex Krull (Atrocidade / Leaves’ Eyes / Mastersound Entretenimento / Roadrunner Records) & Liv Kristine (Leaves’ Eyes) & Robert SUSS (Mastersound Entretenimento). Delight foi eleita a melhor banda do evento, ganhando um contrato de longo prazo com a Roadrunner Records. Delight foi a primeira banda polonesa marcada com o rótulo de rock / metal / alternativo. Em 13 de julho Delight co-apoiou Soulfly no concerto da banda em Varsóvia. Em 31 de agosto, delight tocou no Metal Hammer Festival, ao lado de bandas como Korn, Opeth, Lacuna Coil, Hunter e Mech. Em 2005 Delight iniciou a preparação de seu novo material. Paula e Jarek trabalharam no estúdio Gorycki & Sznyterman em Cracóvia, aperfeiçoando a nova demo, com a ajuda do produtor Łukasz Gorycki e Krystian Aparta, que co-produziu a letra para o novo álbum. The band was formed under the name SATOR in 1998 in Skawina, a small town near Krakow, Poland. The first line was: Paulina Maslanka - vocals, Jaroslaw Baran - drums and guitar, Sebastian Wojtowicz - guitar, Piotr Szymanski - down and Tomasz Polczyk - keyboards. - After a few months of work the band recorded their first demo tape "... And Remember", released with underground label Eternal Blackness. Soon after the end of the demo preparation, Daniel Kaczmarczyk joined the band on drums. With the new lineup the band worked on new material and after a year of preparation, the band was able to get 10 songs ready. These songs were to be included in the first work with the re-named band, Delight. Unlike the first demo, the new songs were totally composed, produced and recorded in a home studio by Jaroslaw Baran. Shortly thereafter, the band signed its first major agreement with the Polish company Metal Mind Records. That's what brought the necessary name change. Shortly before the album's release, drummer Daniel Kaczmarczyk and keyboardist Tomasz Polczyk decided to leave the band. However, they would still participate in the recording process. The replacements were Tomasz Baran as drummer and Barbara Lasek as keyboard player. On November 12, 2000 Metal Mind Production released the album Delight - Last Temptation. On May 14, 2005, Delight played a performance at the Wave Gotik Treffen festival in Leipzig, Germany. The show was part of a contest, and Delight won the title of Best Unsigned Gothic Act International. The event was organized by the German magazine Orkus, Roadrunner Records, Wave Gotik Treffen and mastersound Entertainment. The jury was chaired by Henk Hakker & Christian Klimek (Roadruner Records), Claus Müller & Kerstin Strobel (Orkus Magazine), Michael Brunner (Wave Gotik Treffen Organizator), Alex Krull (ATROCITY / Leaves' Eyes / mastersound Entertainment / Roadrunner Records) & Liv Kristine (Leaves' Eyes) & Robert SUSS (mastersound Entertainment). Delight was voted the best band in the event, earning a long-term contract with Roadrunner Records. Delight was the first Polish band marked with the label rock / metal / alternative. On July 13 Delight co-supported SOULFLY at the band's concert in Warsaw. On August 31, delight touched the Metal Hammer Festival, alongside bands like Korn, Opeth, Lacuna Coil, and Hunter Mech. Delight in 2005 started working on their new material. Paula and Jarek worked in Gorycki & Sznyterman studio in Krakow, perfecting new demo, with the help of producer Łukasz Gorycki and Krystian Aparta, who co-produced the letter for the new album.
