Foi em 1997 que Persuading se formou, a fim de fazer um "metal pesado", com uma postura mais agressiva." Em 1998, a banda lançou uma demo, Visões e Sonhos, que recebe uma boa avaliação de diferentes revistas. O Hunter, o primeiro álbum de verdade, surgiu em 2000, e é igualmente bem recebido com entusiasmo. Em 2001, o grupo decidiu se separar de Pekka Kiviaho, por causa de diferenças de ponto de vista. Este último é substituído por Emil Norberg. Em 2004 lançaram seu segundo álbum, Purgatory Evolution. Foi no final deste álbum que Persuader decide intervir um segundo guitarrista na sua formação, e assim Sunbom Daniel, amigo de longa data de Emil Norberg, se juntou ao grupo. Em 2006, seu terceiro álbum, "When Eden Burns", aparece. É orientado em um estilo que atrai suas raízes nas origens do thrash metal ou metal velocidade. [Fonte: wikipedia]
