[Fonte:collectivecollection]

Originally composed by singer-songwriter Kevn Kinney on guitar and vocals, Tim Nielsen on bass and Paul Lenz on drums, the disc's debut was the timeless " Scarred But Smarter " ( 1986 ) , fusing hard rock and bluegrass, released by Seal 688 Records, which grew along with the eponymous punk nightclub in Atlanta. The band continued with " Whisper Tames The Lions " , . the 1988 entering Jeff Sullivan instead of Lenz There was great anticipation around the band at the time, due to the success REM; everything was southern was ready to become the next attraction. You "Fly Me Courageous " next disc ( 1990 ) , the group finally assumed the mantle of heavy metal ( My comment: the statement is very strange; after all, the band's sound never came close to the genre ; think heavy metal was used in the text in more sense of hard rock, as evidenced with the following sentence ) and generated a good hard hard rock, associated to a flamboyant folk track. The result was shocking but maybe a little out of fashion for patterns of alternative music of the time. The great strength of Drivin N Cryin guess its live performance, and that's how the band relentlessly toured the south of the country, attracting an enthusiastic college crowd. A show Drivin N Cryin of Atlanta had to be seen to believe there was going -. the sound of the crowd singing along really suppressed exceptionally strong voice Kinney That same year, Kinney recorded the beautiful LP of acoustic folk, " MacDougal Blues " , for the Seal Island. The album "Smoke " , Drivin N Cryin's, was released in 1993 Island and sealed by the end of the band's relationship with the label. It was followed by another solo even more stripped "Down Out Law " Kinney album, ( Mammoth ) , of 1994.
